the blitz backlane and the paper pineapple

Wednesday 13 November 2013

Saturday afternoon in a rather mild November in the north of England is enough to cure to blues for any folk, especially when it involves vintage fairs and american diners!

Myself and the nipper brother travelled to delve through the wares at Lou Lou's Vintage Fair in Newcastle and sup on oreo milkshakes until our faces turned blue

Of late I've been going gooey for brooches and headdresses. On this table of delicious gold confectionery, I loved the brooch on the bottom left with the gold leaves and real fur flower.

In the midst of the treasures, The Kinks could be heard in the background, there was devilishly well dressed dwellers, Victoria sponge cake and Betty Grable-esqe hairdos afoot at the vintage salon.

We then got some crazy refuel in the form of Stateside Diner on Pink Lane in Newcastle. T-Bird cocktail with paper pineapple and umbrella (I've got an unhealthy addiction for nabbing paper cocktail decorations), nachos and onion rings.
